WAT? #10 - Wheat Beer
Hefe Weizen? Dunkel Weizen? Weisse Bier?
Like your beers brewed with Wheat? How about yeast in your glass so thick you can’t see through it? Ever thought a beer that tasted like Banana would be refreshing on a hot day?

Wheat beer is a whole world unto itself, there are so many variations on the theme that it would take multiple shows to cover them all. Tonight we taste and talk about three of them.

Ahh, at last you looked at a Unibroue. Unibroue was my personal gateway back into craft brews. I’m a bit surprised you went with the Don De Dieu instead of the Blanche De Chambly, which is more of a traditional wit. It’s less boozy too.
Also, if the 750ml bottles seem a little intimidating, you can get most of their brands in regular longnecks as well. Good stuff!

Unibroue is something I intend to have a lot more of, they seem to have some really unique beers.
As for the Don De Dieu, we wanted to try something different from the first two beers. It was certainly different!
Wow, were you listening to this at 2:00am in the morning? Even when I’m drinking I’m too old to stay up that late these days….

Hmm- looking at the picture, I think I see the friendly blue and white colors of a bottle of Delirium Tremens. You fellows ought to think about doing a Belgian Strong Ale show.
See how Delirium, Unibroue Terrible, and a Chimay Triple stack up against each other, say.
I would suggest arranging for a sober cab, though…
