Sour beer you say? How can that possibly be a good thing?

We assure you it is a very good thing and we highly recommend that you try some!

This is our first Belgian show, although one of the beers we try is not brewed there this style is indicative of the Flanders region in Belgium.

The beers are harder to find, however, if you’re in the twin cities region go see our mate Jim at Blue Max in Burnsville, he knows his stuff and will really take care of you.

  1. Where’s the New Glarus Unplugged Enigma in this tasting?

  2. Forgot to mention that I am fortunate enough to have my wife’s favorite Flanders Red Ale, Duchesse De Bourgogne, on tap at home right now.

  3. Unfortunately, I’ve only got a couple of those Enigma’s left and they are being kept for a special occasion.

You’ve got the Duchesse on tap? You bought a keg of it? That’s impressive mate!

  4. I was a bit taken aback intially, but eventually got to the point where I couldn’t get enough of the sour beer. Definitely not an all-night beer, but certainly worth a try if you like a little adventure.
